Sargis Babayan (born 1986)
Graduated State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia in 2014. Member of Artists’ Union of Armenia since 2016.
Sargis Babayan’s work is a fresh and contemporary view on mythological, biblical and folk subjects. The dialogue between the artist and the material he works with, gives second life to Dante and Vergil, Eurydice and St. Peter, touched by barely sensible human emotions. Babayan’s art takes inspirations from the long-lost cultures and pays major tribute to the art of the past.
